Agree why and where to sample

A useful sampling plan starts with the system and the question being investigated. Tell us about previous results, concerns over controls or advice already received. We can then agree the testing scope and access requirements.

Put results in context

A laboratory result is one part of the evidence. It does not replace understanding the system or maintaining its controls. Results need to be considered with the risk assessment, sampling location and operating conditions.

Scope the next step

The proposal should identify sampling points, reporting arrangements and the route for discussing findings. Laboratory arrangements and anticipated turnaround are confirmed for the commission; urgent needs should be raised before booking.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

FAQs

Have another question? ↗
How often should we test?

There is no single schedule for every building. Frequency depends on system type, risk assessment and the reason for testing.

Can testing replace an audit?

No. Testing examines samples; an audit reviews arrangements and records. Choose the service that addresses the question you need answered.

Can you help with more than one service?

Yes. Describe the full requirement so we can discuss the relevant services together and define what is included.

What information should I provide first?

Share your organisation, site postcode, building type and the issue or planned work. Include your preferred timescale and any relevant equipment details or records.
