Testing, auditing and monitoring

Enerus supports organisations with legionella testing, water-hygiene auditing and monitoring requirements. We start by establishing the type of system, existing documentation and the reason for the enquiry, then agree the service required.

Different services answer different questions

Testing investigates samples taken at particular points and times. An audit reviews management arrangements and evidence. Monitoring tracks selected control measures. These activities complement one another but are not interchangeable.

Turn findings into practical work

Where an audit or investigation identifies a need for action, we can discuss plumbing remedials and suitable monitoring alongside the findings. Responsibilities, priorities and follow-up should remain clear to the organisation managing the building.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

FAQs

Clear answers to help you plan the next step.

Have another question? ↗
Does a negative sample prove the whole system is safe?

No. A result relates to the sample taken. It should be interpreted alongside the system, risk assessment and control measures.

Does every building need routine sampling?

No. The need for sampling depends on the system and risk assessment. HSE says microbiological monitoring is not usually required for enclosed hot and cold-water systems, although circumstances can justify testing.

Can you help with more than one service?

Yes. Describe the full requirement so we can discuss the relevant services together and define what is included.

What information should I provide first?

Share your organisation, site postcode, building type and the issue or planned work. Include your preferred timescale and any relevant equipment details or records.
